Image and Video Resolution

Understanding Image and Video Resolution

Client Question:
"Why does resolution matter?"

DFman's Answer:
A large majority of people fail to understand the difference in image and video resolution and where different resolutions are required in different media. For maximizing the speed of content delivery, resolution for images on a website needs to be fairly low. This is contrast to print marketing where you need a high resolution image to output. In video you want to publish as high of resolution as you can. The key in video production is to always start working with the raw high resolution video and not through a shared video which may have already reduced the video quality.
